International Women’s Day is a reflection on all the remarkable accomplishments that have been made globally towards women’s rights, as it is just as much about recognizing and acknowledging the many challenges and imbalances that continue to exist today. On this day we are all reminded that we should make a conscious effort to instill as much self-confidence as possible in our girls and young women; to empower them into their futures. I reflect a great deal on the power women hold in pushing towards an equitable future for those of us living at the intersections of marginalized identities. Throughout this journey towards equity, I’ve met some of the most extraordinary, ambitious people and together we have created a powerful feminine network that encourages us all to be our greatest selves. Being a strong woman doesn’t correlate to working at the office with men or living a corporate life. Being a strong woman is knowing and understanding the obstacles in your way and tackling them head-on for a brighter future, for yourself and for many generations to come. It’s an honour to know you all and to fight this fight together. Happy International Woman’s Day!

International Women’s Day is a special day to commemorate how far we as a community have come to pursue gender equality across political, economic, and social landscapes. Today, we are fortunate to have women follow their passions; for being leaders, homemakers, scientists, and innovators. However, we still have a long way to evolve the mindset of gender roles, where women are seen as equal to men; in their homes, places of work and society at large.
A step in the right direction is to be curious about the motivations of the women around you in achieving their full potential in society, encouraging fluidity of thoughts in gender roles and be a vocal ally of gender inequality in your immediate community.
Together we can continue to create a future where women are confident to take ownership of their aspirations in a world that opposes gender inequality, elevates diversity and grounds inclusivity across all facets of life. Happy International Women’s Day!

International Woman’s Day is a day to celebrate US! From our mothers to our daughters, our peers to our mentors. Leaders in society to those who entertain us. A day acknowledging and celebrating everything female.
I will celebrate by listening to some of my favourite female artists, sending encouraging messages to some of the awesome women in my life and maybe get a treat for myself. Others should use that day to go above and beyond for the awesome women in your life too. We do a lot!
