This collaboration is a major step towards the professional growth of Black professionals in the Canadian corporate community. In collaboration with the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), CAUFP will provide 10 of its members training and education within the ICD-Rotman GEP Programme.
The GEP is a formal director education course designed to equip Black professionals who have aspirations of becoming a corporate board member. In doing so, the course provides the skills necessary to craft strategic, governance models, understand the fiduciary responsibilities and duty of care expected of directors in board decision-making and adopt best practices in board meeting preparation. Notably, the programme will grant participants a wide range of networking opportunities, allowing them to establish connections with directors and senior executives throughout Canada.
We are looking forward to seeing the impact this partnered initiative will have on the Black community at large!
